On June 7, 2020, Japanese Americans gathered at Tanforan Mall (former site of the Tanforan Assembly Center) and Orange Memorial Park in South San Francisco for a vigil to honor George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and all Black people killed by police, immigrant children and families who have died in US detention facilities, and our Japanese ancestors who died in US concentration camps.
